002: Planning


We brainstormed about what exactly our game would be. Firstly we decided that it would not be  a continuation of the film, just inspired by it. Our premise was very similar, the main character is a scientist working in a facility similar to the one seen. He awakens to find himself alone, power is down and the place seems deserted. Finding clues as to what happened is the main part of the game. 

In terms of style it will be similar to Star dew valley and The binding of Issac.  Our player will move through the rooms of the facility and collect clues along the way to help determine the story. Mechanics wise they will need certain items to progress, key cards, passwords, power fuses etc. 

We also hope to have branching paths to the story, multiple endings will add to replay ability.
